Series III
A Good Deed
Sometimes kindness is where corruption begins.
About the Series
Good Intentions Are Not Pure
A Good Deed is a grounded coming-of-age story about pain, love, and the quiet strength it takes to keep going.
The story follows Mamoru Tatewaki, a feared student at Aokuro Gakuen known as “the Devil.” Rumors paint him as violent and dangerous, but beneath the reputation is a boy carrying the weight of a broken home, a missing mother, and a life spent protecting others from a distance.
Everything begins with a simple act of kindness—Mamoru quietly helping Chōko Utsukihane during a troubling moment on a crowded train.
That small good deed brings together an unlikely group of friends:
- Chōko, the school’s admired princess
- Shiori, a shy girl struggling with anxiety
- Haruki, a talented soccer player battling self-doubt
- Kenta, a loud delinquent with a loyal heart
As friendships grow and tensions rise, rumors, rivalry, and personal struggles threaten to tear them apart.
At its core, A Good Deed is about finding hope, strength, and acceptance through the people who choose to stand beside you.
